Cloisonné pins are perfect as recognition items, club or member identifications or staff gifts, and make great collectibles. True cloisonné is distinguished by the thin metal seperating walls between colors. Each design is stamped into copper brass. The recessed areas are inlaid with a cloisonné paste made of water and finely ground powdered colored glass. The piece is then fired at 1400° until the glass fuses to the metal and is level with the metal separations. It is hand stoned and repeated until each color is level with the metal. The final product is highly hand polished for a perfect finish. Like all pins, these are priced by size and quantity. For size, measure the longest dimension of your art.
